If you’re looking for a great place to get some great food and great beers on the water
you can’t beat Salt Water Cowboys. The ambience is to die for. Sitting on Shem Creek.

Being that the restaurant is on the waterfront, you’re surroundings are made up of boats and lots of great marina vibe. You can boat into this restaurant or drive there. Warning it is very popular and they do not take reservations. That being said, they have a great bar, actually many bars on location where you can enjoy a cold beer or cocktail while waiting for a table. This has to be one of my top 5 places that we visited while in the Charleston area. We found out quickly that the facility is four levels. We put our name in for a table at the ground level for patio seating on the ground level waterfront deck and then proceeded to the third level which led you right to the bar. We ordered cocktails and beers and then proceeded to the rooftop area where we chose to wait for
our table. Their waiting system is a typical pager system. You are given a small pager

which vibrates and
lights up when your table is ready. While on the rooftop we could see from a birds eye view the whole creek: boats coming and going and boats tied up to the docs. Saltwater Cowboys is also surrounded by some other restaurants with the same marina setting on both sides of Shem Creek. Like I said, this place has a great vibe! We were notified that our table was ready in about 15 minutes. We proceeded down to our table on the waterfront deck, ordered more drinks and checked out the menu. There were seven of us for dinner which sometimes can be hard to seat but there was no problem seating all seven of us at one table.
Great list of appetizers ranging from humongous trash can nachos, many seafood
choices, Fried green tomatoes which were terrific. And much more.

There were three choices for salads. Saltwater Caesar, Cowboy Wedge and a Chopped salad. Main dishes ranged from Southern Fried Seafood, House Smoked BBQ, Tacos, Burgers and a list of Sandwiches and a great choice of sides to go with your meal.
The Bar.
16 Domestic Beers, 7 Imported Beers, 16 Craft Beers and 7 different Seltzers, Ciders and Non-Beers.
Cocktails.
13 Signature Cocktails on the menu, But I am sure you can get whatever you want as they have a
Full Bar. 3 Sparkling wines, 7 White or Rose Wine selections and 3 Red Wine

selections.
Everyone in our party was very happy with their drinks and food, something for everyone.
They even have a gift shop on the way out selling which I had to get one of their awesome T-Shirts.
