I have to start out by saying I cannot get enough of this place and there beers. The brewery and pub are sitting on 40 acres outside of Dixon California.
Here at the farm they grow there own hops and part of the property is also a walnut orchard.

Dixon is about 30 minutes south west of Sacramento. The entire being of this Rhustaller farm began in 1865 when young Frank Rhustaller came from Switzerland through Buffalo New York eventually landing in Sacramento California. Frank started working at the city brewery in Sacramento working his way to Forman. In 1881 Frank purchased the city brewery and they began brewing a steam beer before Anchor brewing was in existence. Frank was also a visionary having very much to do with beer being in a can. This place, the farm is full of magic. The magic comes from there outlook on life and the natural way things need to happen.

Mainly get out of the way of Mother Nature. Organic farming practices on all they have going on. They let the land do what it needs to do instead of trying to force something upon it. There is a union with the dirt and what it produces. They grow the hops and process them right here on site. And then the hops are used in there beers. the Farm has a big barn that is where they brew and process the hops with two unique drying buildings that are designed like the ones that are used in Switzerland.

Tours are available upon request and I highly recommend it. It is so interesting what they do why they do it and all the history behind it all.

There is food available “taco trucks” and there beers are always changing.

They basically keep a menu of light, medium and heavy styles at all times.

There are also lots of areas where you can reserve for party’s. Bring your dog and kids.

Well behaved adults are also welcome. Lol. You can also bring food, soda etc. for your event or the kids. Very low key. Everyone here just wants you to have a great time.
Please take some time and check out there website. It is full of more information about the history, events, entertainment. Highly recommend a visit!
Cheers.
