Charleston is quite the historic city with so much to see and do.
Let me start off with getting there. We flew into Charleston airport and it is a very nice airport managed our way to the baggage claim with ease. After receiving our luggage we proceeded to find a ride to our Airbnb located just outside of Charleston in Mt Pleasant. Uber was a little tough because a few planes came in at the same time but we made it. After settling in we decided to go back out and find something to eat and drink. Fortunately for us that was just across the street at the Mainland Container Co.
Kitchen and Bar.

This place is fantastic. as you can see in the picture the container converted into a outside bar is genius. There is also inside seating in the building seen behind the container bar. the outside bar is a complete full bar minus draft beer. They are working on that but for now if you want a draft you have to go to the inside bar. I believe there are over thirty caned beers you can order outside at the container bar. There is also a nice menu of food you can order. My personal favorite menu item is the bucket of steamed oysters. This is a full size beer bucket, I shared the bucket with a friend and it was plenty with a couple of beers of course. The bucket of fresh oysters runs about $20.00, they are fresh.
I would also like to add they have live music every night.

Here are a few of the beers that I sampled at the container bar.
Westbrook IPA. This is brewed locally in Mt Pleasant, I liked this beer a lot. It was very smooth with a slightly floral light taste. The hops were very pronounced but not overpowering. It also had a nice balance on the malt to hops ratio.
Next we have the Sweet Water IPA. This comes from the SweetWatrer Brewing Company in Atlanta GA. This is a double dry hopped juicy IPA with mango and citrus malty flavor in the Hazy style.
And the finally the Edmund's Oast Bound By Time IPA. I found this to be surprising as the first sip was not what I expected. It had a much lighter body than I expected and the flavor profile was somewhat confusing. With all that said I enjoyed it and still would claim it as a IPA but In a refreshing Maverick style of it's own you defiantly need to try some beers from this brewery, new things are coming out of Edmund's Oast for sure.
